I qualified as a Secondary History Teacher in July 2008 and I loved everything about being a teacher. However, after 12 years of teaching, a wedding, two children and several house moves, things had changed and so had I. I left my teaching position in 2019 and took some time out with my family. I needed to rediscover myself and find a career that excited me and ignited a passion in me.

I have always had a love for art and design and was rarely without a paintbrush in my hand throughout my teenage years but it was never something I truly considered pursuing as a career. I qualified as an Interior Designer in January 2021 and this helped me rediscover my love of pattern design and art.

I began to play around with creating my own patterns and found peace and tranquillity in the process. I had a positive response to my initial patterns and decided to take the leap and put my designs out into the world.

Each pattern, illustration or collection that I have created comes from the heart and tells a story of the inspiration behind it. This can be from my love of floral patterns, retro styles and colour palettes or from locations that are close to mine and my families hearts. Drawing and designing gives me an opportunity to share these loves and passions and bring a little piece of my heart to life!

Each time a design is put onto a product makes my heart sing and there is nothing better than bringing joy to other people! I hope you enjoy my work and that it brings a little bit of happiness to your heart!
